EVERYDAY SUMMER MAKEUP ROUTINE

During the summer i mostly try and stay away from makeup,because humidity + mascara usually = racoon eyes (not cute ). But on the rare time that I’m going somewhere nice or going out for a special occasion ( 4th of July anyone ) i like wear makeup to look somewhat presentable and to give me a little confidence boost!

I like to keep my makeup as natural as possible, so here are the products i would use for a summery makeup look:

Before I apply any makeup whatsoever I will moisturize and prime my face using the Simple Oil Balancing Moisturiser and Benefit’s PoreFessional

I will ether use a bb cream  such as Garnier BB Cream or if I need extra coverage i will use my Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow in the shade honey (im so money). I will then my powder to set my makeup. Sometimes I will add some Bronzer if I feel I’m looking extra pale and I’ve been loving the Bourjois Delice de Poudre.

I don’t wear any eyeshadow for an everyday look( but i will show you guys a more dramatic look very soon!!!).  I instead train my focus on my lashes and I try and make them as bold as possible. My holy grail mascara is definitely my Benefit They’re Real and I have been using this mascara for years now and I haven’t found any other dupes that have came close to beating Benefit’s They’re Real

To finish my look I will usually just use some chapstick like Vaseline Lip Therapy in Rose as it gives my lips a hint of color.

Ahhhhh…summer is finally here, if you are lucky enough to be going anywhere this summer whether it be across the globe, a roadtrip (or even if you spending a weekend at your grandparents house I don’t care hehe) then this blog post is for you….and for me since im visting New York this summer….Ahhh.. to visit some family and catch up with my old friends from home ( you can probably tell im excited). What im not excited about is the looong flight, so hopefully this post will help.

TRAVEL ESSENTIALS

some essentials I forgot to include my travel essentials are:

-headphones

-sickness relief tablets

-sunglasses

-hand sanitazr

-suncreen

-gum

and of course your pass port and any other travel documents you need!!!

BEAUTY TIPS FOR YOUR FLIGHT

If you are going on a long-haul flight like me or even a short flight these tips will help you look less monster and more human when you step off the plane

1. WATER WATER WATER

Days before your flight, ensure that your drinking an abundance of water and during the flight ensure your always keeping hydrated its the best way to prevent all kinds of nasty sicknesses you can catch on planes

2. WHAT TO USE AND WHAT TO AVOID

If you are wearing makeup on your flight or are going to put some on before you step of the plane ensure to use the right kind.

Use natural plant-based products to protect your skin and retain its moisture ( the cabin crew on flights do this!!)

Avoid water-proof masacra as this will dry out your lashes

3. TAKE IT OFF

Take off your makeup if you can while your on the flight and use a hydration mask to retain your skins moisture. If you don’t want to break out a whole spa session on board, use facial sprays to stay hydrated

4.MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE,MOISTURIZE!

Seriously moisturize as much as you can and not just your face!! Dont forget your legs, arms and lips!!

5. FRIZZY HAIR DONT CARE

If your hair is getting frizzy try using a hydration  spray like my essentials or use a pea sized amount of head cream or lip balm to smooth out your locks

6. WHAT TO EAT

Avoid caffeine or alcohol on flights and try to go for fresh food e.g fruits, vegetables over processed food

WHAT TO WEAR

I will always bring a pair of comfy shoes with me while i travel. I love my Topshop skater shoes (included in essentials) because they are so easy to slip on and off in security ,  and i tend to keep my look as homeless as possible (seriouslyy). I love leggings for flights aswell as bringing a comfy sweater and fluffy socks with me for during the flight as airplanes are alwaysss freezing

CHRISTMAS OUTFITS IDEAS!!

So finally my winter break is here! Sorry i haven’t been posting as much as I’ve been swamped with finals but they’re finally over and i cant wait to spend winter break posting more blogs for you guys.

With winter break comes alot of activities, winter parties, ugly Christmas sweater parties, ice skating, Christmas shopping and more! I’m going to show you guys some outfit ideas suitable for whatever your doing this Christmas break!

My tips for going out in the freezing cold is to layer, layer, layer!

The most important thing you need to brace the cold is a comfy jacket. I found this one on Hollister for £69 and its fur lined! So this will definitely keep you cozy while you get pelted with snowballs

Christmas eve is hands down the best night of the year, so your pajamas need to be perfect, am i right! But you dont need to fork out £70 for pajamas at Victoria Secret when you can find amazingly cheap ones in the high street. Sleeping never looked so fashionable!

EASY HAIR STYLES FOR SECOND DAY HAIR

Before you start any hairstyle start by prepping your hair, second day hair can look greasy and dry and dull on the ends to fix this use dry shampoo in your roots the tresemme dry shampoo is my favorite by far

To fix dry ends you can use a smoothing cream or morrocan oil, the mixture between fresh roots and soft ends will make your hair appear even better than freshly washed

This dry shampoo works wonders!

HAIRSTYLE ONE: UPSIDE DOWN BRAIDED BUN

This hairstyle is perfect if you are very active or sporty or if you just like your hair out of your face. It’s super easy to create yet it looks like you’ve spent forever perfecting it!

First brush your hair out getting rid of any knots. Next flip your hair upside down, and instead of braiding your hair normally french braid your hair from the base of your neck until your ear. This might be a bit tricky at first but its easy to get the hand of. Once you’ve braided to your ear tie of with a hair tie, piled all  of your hair on to of your head to create a bun and ta da movie star movie

2. CROWN BRAID

This hairstyle is for you if your like your hair down but still out of your face

First part your hair ether in the middle or in a deep side part, french braid the two sections until your ear then normal braid all the way down. Pull both pieces to the back of your head and secure with a clip. You can leave your hair natural,straight or curly

3.TOP NOT

This top not takes five seconds and looks so chic. Gather your hair into a high ponytail smoothing out any bumps and twist into a bun. Then apply a shine serum to smooth out the top, like L’Oreal shine serum.

4. BEDHEAD

Bedhead? Yes this is the easiest hairstyle, embrace your bed head and turn it into amazing beachy waves.All you have to do is separate your hair into small sections and spritz with some texturizing surf spray; and you look like you’ve just stepped off the beach

I found this idea of pinterest and the only thing you really need is a white coat over any outfit and back comb your hair like crazy, add a pair of worker gloves and your done!

This is probably the costume ill end up wearing because its just so cute!

This costume is so easy and includes things you already have at home but is so adorable

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

-all black clothing and a black leather jacket

– red heels or flats,  red lipstick

All that’s left to do is tightly curl your hair, backcomb , hair spray and your done!

Bad Hair Day? Bad Hair Everyday?? Life Hacks For Bad Hair Days

We all have them days were you roll out of bed to find your hair hasnt quite got the memo that you need to at least look okay but instead is a bird nest piled on top of your head,right?

My biggest tip to try at avoid bad hair days is to wash your hair at night, it ,may seem a small thing to do but it can cut your time in half and wont have you stressing about half wet half dry hair not to mention frizzy.

FLAT HAIR?

One of the worst things about bad hair days is flat hair!!Egh right?!I If you have the same problem try blasting your roost with  a hairdryer for a few seconds and flip back up or if its really flat use a spray bottle with lukewarm water , flip your head upside down and spray 2-3 times, massage into your scalp flip you head back up and viola!! Beauty Queen Hair. If you have a problem with flat hair alot try switching up your routine by conditioning your hair first then shampooing

EW GREASE

Usually bad hair days revolve around those greasy roots you feel like you could fry an egg on. A quick fix for this is always dry shampoo,but they tend to always leave white marks behind no matter how hard i try,white marks your friends point out to you at lunch. To avoid this I recommend TRESemme Instant Refresh Dry Shampoo, its gave me the least amount of hassle and i love it. Dry shampoo works best on blondes but if your hair is brown, try using only a small amount of baby powder or you can even use a little bit of bronzing powder instead! It sounds weird but it actually does work.

FRIZZ?

If you hair naturally has some texture but can turn frizzy in the heat try a smoothing  oil like The body Shop Brazil Nut Define & No-frizz to tame frizzy hair.

The best hairstyle for a bad hair day is just simply hiding it! Bun or ponytail, If your trying to hide greasy roots backcomb before pulling your hair back into a ponytail or try a loose messy bun. Even try switching up your parting in your hair for added volume.

I love putting my hair into braids or little space buns before going to bed, that way when you wake up and release the braids all you have to do is add a salt spray try Bumble and bumble surf spray and you’ll have beachy salty waves looking like you walked out of the sea when it reality you came straight from your bed.

Twist ties are my new favorite obsession and they NEVER leave dents in your hair and they look fabulous. I’ve seen these small beauties in just about every store from Urban Outfitters to Topshop.You can try to recreate them by cutting out the elastic band and fabric on an old pair of plain white socks and tying them up, then just tie-dying away.
